Once upon a time there was an elf who had a pet ant. He loved his little ant so much that he tried his best to feed it.

He would give her leftover food, pieces, candy nuts and everything she could not eat herself. The ant always happily ate everything it was fed.

This went on for years and years, and the ant ate, ate and chewed all the food it had at all times. As the ant did this, it grew bigger and bigger, and bigger and bigger, until it could no longer fit in the room.

Although Elf loved his ant, he had no choice but to give it to the zoo.

Everyone at the zoo knew it was an elf's ant, and so over time it became known as the "elephant".

Years and years have passed, and to this day people go to see the elephant, but they do not know the story behind its strange name.
