یہ سب دیکھ کر لڑکا پاگل ہو گیا اور خزانہ لینے کے لیے بھاگا۔ پہلے چینی بھائی صرف اتنی ہی مچھلیاں پکڑتا تھا جتنی وہ روزانہ پکڑتا تھا، پھر اس نے سمندر کے پانی کو واپس سمندر میں پھینکنا چاہا، اس نے لڑکے سے کہا۔ آواز دی، لیکن لڑکا کبھی ایک چیز اٹھاتا اور کبھی دوسری کی طرف لپکتا۔ اسے کچھ سنائی نہیں دے رہا تھا۔

گاؤں والے رات بھر کوٹھاری کے باہر تجسس میں بیٹھے رہے۔ صبح جب سپاہیوں نے اس کی لاش نکالنے کے لیے دروازہ کھولا۔ پانچواں چینی بھائی مسکراتا ہوا باہر نکلا کیونکہ وہ دیر تک سانس روک سکتا تھا اس لیے بدبو سے نہیں مرا۔ یہ دیکھ کر لوگ حیران رہ گئے۔
